This Flu Vaccine was Bunk!

Evaluating the literature that is available on the effectiveness of the flu vaccine in the year 2010 included no less than 50 studies and 40 clinical trials assessing over 70,000 individuals. I was stunned by the results. Here's what was found:
  • Regarding the flu vaccine, it was found to match approximately 1% of the actual viruses that was affecting these 70,000 subjects that represented the population.
  • The same flu vaccine only slightly reduced lost days at work due to flu symptoms during the year.
  • Most importantly, The flu vaccine caused" local harms and an estimated 1.6 additional cases of Guillain-Barre Syndrome per million vaccinations."
According to the Mayo Clinic, Guillain-Barre syndrome is a disorder in which your body's immune system attacks your nerves. Weakness and tingling in your extremities are usually the first symptoms. These sensations can quickly spread, eventually paralyzing your whole body. In its most severe form, Guillain-Barre syndrome is a medical emergency requiring hospitalization.

Regarding the vaccine, it was worthless. It was only effective against 1% of the viruses causing the flu during that year, only slightly improved days lost due to flu-like symptoms and created new conditions of Guillain- Barre Syndrome.

Your body has a natural defense immune system to handle all those viruses, bacteria and other potentially infecting organisms. With proper rest, diet, exercise, mental attitude and chiropractic adjustments to keep your body functioning at 100% optimum capacity, I say forgo that flu shot. Trust your body's natural, innate response to disease.

These findings were from The Cochrane Collaboration.

42% of Americans May Be Obese by 2030

I just read this article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and I'm sure you saw it posted all over the web and on TV newscasts. Obese is not just overweight, obese is obese. All this is according to a way we measure our body fat  using the BMI calculator.
BMI (Body Mass Index) is a measurement of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both men and women between the ages of 18 and 65 years. BMI can be used to indicate if you are overweight, obese, underweight or normal.

A healthy BMI score is between 20 and 25. A score below 20 indicates that you may be underweight; a value above 25 indicates that you may be overweight. A score of 30 to 34.99 indicates  Obesity (Class 1), 35 to 39.99 indicates Obesity (Class 2), 40 or greater and you are Morbidly Obese.

Here's the calculation...  BMI = ( Weight in Pounds / ( Height in inches x Height in inches ) ) x 703. Want an easier way to calculate? Just search the web for a BMI calculator, insert your height and weight and BMI calculator will give you your score.

In my humble opinion, its way past time for Americans to take charge of their health. We must understand how this fat epidemic has occurred and what we can do to stop it.

There are many plans and methods to help. Vegan Diet, Paleo Diet plan, Weight Watchers and many others will help. Most diet plans will work if we have the will power to follow through.
