42% of Americans May Be Obese by 2030

I just read this article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and I'm sure you saw it posted all over the web and on TV newscasts. Obese is not just overweight, obese is obese. All this is according to a way we measure our body fat  using the BMI calculator.
BMI (Body Mass Index) is a measurement of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both men and women between the ages of 18 and 65 years. BMI can be used to indicate if you are overweight, obese, underweight or normal.

A healthy BMI score is between 20 and 25. A score below 20 indicates that you may be underweight; a value above 25 indicates that you may be overweight. A score of 30 to 34.99 indicates  Obesity (Class 1), 35 to 39.99 indicates Obesity (Class 2), 40 or greater and you are Morbidly Obese.

Here's the calculation...  BMI = ( Weight in Pounds / ( Height in inches x Height in inches ) ) x 703. Want an easier way to calculate? Just search the web for a BMI calculator, insert your height and weight and BMI calculator will give you your score.

In my humble opinion, its way past time for Americans to take charge of their health. We must understand how this fat epidemic has occurred and what we can do to stop it.

There are many plans and methods to help. Vegan Diet, Paleo Diet plan, Weight Watchers and many others will help. Most diet plans will work if we have the will power to follow through.
